A-Lister Wanted As Norwegian Serial Killer
American filmmaker Edward Bass, according to Aftenposten,
is set to make a film about the Norwegian serial killer Belle Gunness.
The film, "Belle", is being prepared and in pre-production. Angelina Jolie is being considered for the part, but other actors are in the race as well. This is no easy role to
play, remember that she also killed her own children,” Bass
told Aftenposten. Bass has previously produced films such as “Slingshot” and
“Come Early Morning”.
Made sausages of suitors Belle Sorensen Gunness, or Brynhild Størseth, was born in Selbu in 1859 and is one of the most notorious serial killers in the United States. Belle moved to a farm outside of Chicago in the United States, where she advertised for rich Scandinavian suitors. The men who came to Belle’s farm were killed, then fed to the pigs and sold as sausages. As with "Sweeney Todd" and their pies, Belle was widely known for her delicious sausages. Director Anne Berit Vestby spent five years trying to make the documentary film "Only Belle - a serial killer from Selbu" about the charming, icy fortune hunter.
“She treated men as pigs. She poisoned
them in the evening, and then she beat
them in the head while the children
slept,” says Vestby to Absolute
Entertainment TV 2.
Belle then took the men down into the
basement, where there was a secret slaughterhouse.
After 27 years of bestial murder, Belle disappeared
mysteriously in 1908. Over 40 bodies were found buried on her
farm.
